An awesome poetic expression of the concerns of the age. With all sympaties for the aged and the infirm, the poem highlights their neglectful lonliness, a gift of the western micro family concept which is now catching up the whole world. New oldage homes are coming up to replace the ancient family concern and care. But they cannot be its substitutes as they lack the personal family touch and have all the sordidness of selfisness of the people organizing them. CP

This is an agony of a particular generation Yes... its true... they can't match the speed in the race Yes... its also true... they are lonely left in no grace. But.. of course.. this 'But' is very important The same old generation whom we talk about... Once had lived the same way with those, their, old... Had similar say... several writer wrote their way. Its all the game of time, past, prime and last. May be we should glance all from time's angle To feel a sense of calm. Still feel the pain of that generation Knowing very well, there is a same say to self one day. Thank you.

You have a valid point here to make, Sandra...many oldies try to follow the fastness in the lives of their younger generation keeping aloof as if they watch a car race on TV...such shows perhaps not much to their taste...good write...10

Sandra! This is a very touching subject you have as usual done full justice to it with finely woven word structures and a clear diction. Long long ago I wrote on the same subject, viz. 'Human's are like this'. If time permits, please take a look at it. I see the present generation children to be more and more apathetic towards their elders............I wish I write more on this.
