Lonely Gypsy Moth Poem by Daniel Miltz

Lonely Gypsy Moth

Within the shadows of night moon
I hear whispering wind swoon
Looking out my window, I see
A lonely gypsy moth, flying free
The porch light on, signaling to
Like a lighthouse in a storm rescue
Flying into the unknown
Reflecting dark fears alone
Thinking whimsically, forthright
While crying gently in delight
Ah! --a place brighter in sight
A buzzing light
Is made my home tonight
Now, soaring happily in bright
