The distinction between loneliness and simply being alone - two different things. Good write Chandra.
u have defined in such simple words and to the point.....................great work........indeed solitude cannot be mistaken for loneliness and vice versa.............. :)
I have never before read such a FULL poem exhaustively dedicated to the dual images of Loneliness and Solitude... It is fine to note that lonleliness too teaches us a lot.. Kudos to you Madam Chandra for your unfailing lines all throughout the work.
Soon I will be posting another poem, THE BLISS OF SOLITUDE which can perhaps be read as an annexe to this poem!
Great! ! How well you have brought in the difference between the two which by many are seen as synonyms! Chandra, your brain and imagination work in a superior way bringing out the subtleties of life's undefinable equations! Each time I read your poems, I am enriched! ! For this you deserve a full10
I had some trouble interpreting the following lines, no doubt due to differences of word usage between here and there! (the last words in lines 1,2, and 4 of the stanza) . “Loneliness includes social factor that is thrust Solitude includes social factor that is choicest Loneliness is caused by lack of friendship Solitude is caused to give others a skip” I may also want to look up the definition of “acme”. there are lots of words in English I am ignorant about! :) I like what you say, though it sounds to me more like a lecture to a psychology class. don’t mind me. thanks for sharing and I hope your remaining years are filled with more solitude than loneliness. bri :)
