This poem is written in the fashion of classical Nature poetry like Emily Dickinson's and Robert Frost's. It depicts the beauty and charm of Neelam valley and it's 'tranquil dales' very vividly. The poet takes the reader with him on his recent trip there and we can visualize marches to tunes of bands and a 'lone soldier' dining 'under an outcrop. 'Seeing only what is fair, Sipping only what is sweet, ' (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
