Wow n wah i wud like to visit neelam valley then to see for myself that which inspired in you such a masterpiece in imagery! I admire d poetic mention of d rainbow fins n then to d bunker n soldier. Impressive poet!
This poem is written in the fashion of classical Nature poetry like Emily Dickinson's and Robert Frost's. It depicts the beauty and charm of Neelam valley and it's 'tranquil dales' very vividly. The poet takes the reader with him on his recent trip there and we can visualize marches to tunes of bands and a 'lone soldier' dining 'under an outcrop. 'Seeing only what is fair, Sipping only what is sweet, ' (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
A rich store of vocabulary, with meaningful rhymes and rhythm, and lots of visuals! ! !
Loved the words dancing and singing to keep pace with the jubilant nature.Terrific!
