Being alone at sea - a lone mariner - feeling deserted and lost between the sky and sea. Yet having the presence of mind to touch on such an ordinary sight in life as watching birds flying and playing hide and seek. Even through the turmoil of pain, loss and suffering, dreaming of having wings and taking flight, kissing his love's cheek while floating with a rose in his beak. So tenderly pleading for a tiny space in her heart to keep him with her, while feeling the diving touch him. All the while taking from the lonely emptiness of the sea. A beautiful poem about being alone on the deep blue sea. The birds even disappear within the moving clouds which makes it all the more tranquil. A soothing write.
