Lockdown- 27th Day Poem by MAHTAB BANGALEE

Lockdown- 27th Day

Rating: 5.0

Raining cats and dogs started fair journey
This soaked morning stood alone in vacuity

Lanes after lane city buildings are lifeless tombs
Hungry crows-dogs nowadays on magical brooms

Awaken deity mother won't come to awake the dead temple
If we do not awake our inside heart like the flying high eagle

Let the summer rain come to wash neatly the corpse odour
Let not panic be friend by staying home as ghost in flower

I love your beautiful descriptions, such as, Do not let panic be friend by staying home as ghost in flower. The coming beauty of summer, after illness and death, is evoked quite well in your poem.

An excellent poetic piece.... " Awaken deity mother won't come to awake the dead temple If we do not awake our inside heart like the flying high eagle" - -Stuffed with great philosophical overtone. Enjoyed every line of the poem. Thanks for sharing.
