Lock Up Your Daughters Poem by Shaun Cronick

Lock Up Your Daughters

Rating: 4.8

Hide them away,
Under lock and key.
You think them safe,
Hidden away from me.

I'm like a mermaid,
With a beguiling voice.
And once heard,
They all rejoice.

They will be freed,
You know that.
I can't be stopped,
And that is that.

My loving reputation,
The greatest in the land.
To me they all offer,
An outstretched willing hand.

I court them right,
With respect and attention.
Enjoying freedom,
From a sad detention.

You lock them up,
Stash them away.
Your loving daughters,
Will be freed today.

Maidens yearn for me,
With such delight.
My intentions honourable,
Every day and night.

It's love I offer,
I'm a knight to trust,
Never to break hearts,
With any cruel lust.

I've defeated dragons,
And demons too.
You all know me,
And my word is true.

So unlock them all,
Please set them free.
And share in this kingdom,
A trust and harmony.
