Lock Them Up? Poem by Long Tooth

Lock Them Up?

With so much hate across this land,
Let mine not be another voice
That savages a kindred soul
(While serving God gives me a choice!)
Let patience be a watchful goal
And let me morn their acts instead
(Not tempted to wish felon dead) .

But let real Christians take a stand
And pray for sinners when we can
Not wish their hate comes back on them
(For pain scars every face of Man) !
If God's our judge, can we condemn?
Though some succumb to demon's nod,
Our purpose must be serving God.
