Hi Brooke - You really are an enigma - haunted - suicidal - only just good enough - lock the door and throw away the key - all very powerful stuff. We all enjoy your poems B because they are Poesie Noire but like 'Suicide' 'Lock' also ends in despair. V 1 Youexpress a desire to LOCK AWAY your fears - lonliness and tears. This does not solve your problems just puts them out of sight but not out of mind. V 2 Is another cri de coeur 'Please let's not visit this safe again'. V 3 4 & 5 Compound the issue - it's not just a question of getting rid of emotions - you want to get rid of the source - YOUR PRECIOUS HEART! 'My haart let me lock it away - For it no longer has a meaning'. This is seriuos (V 6 & 7) A broken heart needs mending (with love) not locking away 'Please lock it all away - I really don't want to live another day'.. We can't live physically without a heart - we can't live emotionally without a heart. Locking our emotions away is not the answer - we need to reason 'Why am I so depressed? ' and then try rationally to resolve the situation. Locking our emotions away and not facing them leads (in my experience) to despair and even death. Beacsue we all CARE - Brooke - you are able to SHARE and between us we can all bear your angst, Your poems make us think and for this reason i award it a TEN. Love you in Poetry JOHN.
