Living Recklessly Poem by Ray Hansell

I moved through life recklessly
As I lived from day to day
I always hoped that
No one would get in my way

I did things without thinking
I never seemed to rationalize
I'd get into predicaments
That I could never recognize

I should have taken the time
To slow down a little bit
Maybe if I had taken life easier
Life and I would have been a better fit

You see I didn't slow it down
But now it's much too late
Because a life of fast living
Has already secured my fate
