Living In Heaven Poem by Randy McClave

Living In Heaven

I want to live in a country
Where it is not shameful to be poor,
I want to live in a country
Where you are not known because of a credit score.
And happy I would most certainly be,
If no one needed to beg to become free.

I want to live in a land
Which gives free healthcare to one and all,
I want to live in a land
When a doctor no-one would be afraid to call.
I would be happy if we all were healthy,
The poor and the wealthy.

I want to live in a society
Where we always care for one and each other,
I want to live in a society
Where we always love one and another.
And then unto God we would always pray,
As we would thank him for each and every day.

I want to live in a place
Where we don't hate the immigrant,
I want to live in a place
Where our borders are not a battlefront.
I don't want to think everyone is my enemy,
Because they came from across the border or the sea.

I want to live in a warm home
Where we dont have worries, hate or distress,
I want to live in a warm home
Without drinking, smoking, drugs or sins to confess.
If my life was like this for twenty-four-seven,
Then indeed I would truly know what it is like being in Heaven.
