this is a heart wrenching poem coming from a highly gifted and compassionate heart. common women- as Raj says real miss india. i feel they need to be treated with dignity and respect and not like a piece of furniture. you really got into the psyche of a woman, Sathya10+its a great tribute to womanhood, and sir i salute you... mamta
All our unsung rustic maidens who perform their daily chores in silence , and when need be, also drink their own tears, are our country's back bone, they are my real Miss India! Thanks for this beautiful poem, - Raj Nandy
bhayya you took the words from my thoghts, a silent tear drops inside when i see that much suffering, pain and misery on that most beautiful creature a gift from god made for this ugly and selfish creature....i give it 10+++'s with my respectful bow for such beautiful heart
It is a great shame that women are still treated this way throughout the world. Of course, arranged marriages are difficult to comprehend in the western society and it would be easy for me to condemn them but ignorance and contempt are shown towards women in and outside of marriage all over the Earth, within every social structure and religion. You have captured the outrage, the pain and injustice in your words. Thank you for your comments about 'Butterfly'. It was based upon someone I knew some years ago who was regularly mistreated and bullied by her possessive and jealous husband. Your poem is masterful - well-written and well observed. Great!
that is why she emerges at times as Adi Para Sakthy in mundane life too; though, rarely so...outlook and observation highly compassionate... good write
