I've always been the kind
To no live in the past
That's just what it is
Only memories are left to last

We can't go back in time
Though sometimes we wish we could
But that can't be done
I don't think it should

The past is good to remember
Of things that used to be
It conjures up an image
In our minds eye we can see

But we cannot live there
That we've already done
It would not achieve anything
Even if it sounds like fun

So, remember to live in the present
No matter how bad it may seem
Save the past to remember
When you have time to sit and daydream
