Not only hung - but also hanged -
Above the crib as mother sang.
Little doll's neck in a noose,
An eyeball sagging with threads loose.
Shoes are torn, but never worn,
Weathered, however, not from storm.
Fingers missing, crippled wrists,
Frayed elbows, faded lips,
Straggled hair (of what is left) ,
The mobile doll fades until her death.
