Little Color Poem by Lehlohonolo Selai

Little Color

Rating: 4.0

Little color in the room
I sit across the table in my boots
Feeling pretty light and useless
Lacking pride I am useless

Little color in the room
My story is one you'd want to know
One of a stranger dressed in fear
A man of sorrow full of fear

Little color in the room
Your glow in the corner is so cool
Like the sweet smile on your face
Or the joy presented on that face

Little color in the room
Your swagger is enough a boost
To the confidence I once had buried
And the smile with which it was buried

Little color in the room
You've brought joy to the sad room
Dressed in the joy you never thought to have
Clothed in authenticity the world never has

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
To have met a personality in another when I hoped life had tossed me to the farthest dark corner has been the greatest love story of my life. She is Little Color that has a way to light up the corner I was pushed into by life.
