Superb poem.. well written.. some very profound lines shining in there.. The ocean listens to our thoughts and sends them back with the tide to kiss the ground with our dreams to nourish the flowers and trees that grow within our minds. liked these lines very much.. need to introspect on this poem and read a few more times.. thanks for sharing
You posted this poem on November 16, I'm reading/commenting a week later just two days from THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY in America. And I can't help but see this as a poems of thanksgiving, of gratitude. Let me highlight one shining aspect of this poem. You declare WHAT GORGEOUS NEW SOULS I HAVE SURROUNDING ME: I immediately clicked on Miranda in THE TEMPEST who says O BRAVE NEW WORLD WITH SUCH PEOPLE IN IT. But then her father mutters TIS NEW TO THEE and we know she will soon be disillusioned. I much prefer your vision. Instead of stepping back the way Shakespeare does, you leap ahead and each of the closing lines increases the scope and possibilities of this transformation you are experiencing. Words change thinking and thinking changes realty - that's a psychic reality, it's not wishful thinking, we become lions when we are ready to assume the role.
