Lion, In His Original State Poem by james watkin

Lion, In His Original State

Wild, out of necessity;
A beast, earthly.
Lion, of a love, face-turned on
Shines, divinely

Who knows? But that it may well
(St. Francis could tell)
Droopy eyed, with sentiment
Its gruff, having lost
Revert back to, and as tame
Eden's king and host.
