Lion And Four Oxen Poem by narayana aghalaya

Lion And Four Oxen

Rating: 5.0

four grazing oxen
saw a lion on the field.
after bit of zen,
their mature minds they applied
the lions hopes they belied

when lion came near
they stood - backs touched.each other's-
their horns instilled fear
in the lion, and bothered
him, come hither or thither

oxen are oxen
patience gone, quarrels began
their vigil slackened
far away and.out they fanned
giving, for.lion, the chance

the story ended
late oxen taught a lesson:
' we will not be dead
if, united under the sun;
divided, we are fallen '
