A limerick that says all limericks are not slap-stick, an enjoyable goodly read. And I notice two things; one, we both use limericks in different ways. Second, I too started writing poems only after 2000. Till then, ever since my Times of India days, I wrote serious non-fiction and the analytical stuff thru articles for Economic Times and other publications. But nothing can beat poetry.

It was as if they had deliberately planned their date inside a dark manhole, away from the prying eyes of curious cats! You have transformed a mere manhole to a romantic rendezvous.Lovely limerick!

Very humorous Valsa...the lovers got drowned in deep love so they were not aware of the manhole stink nor they got drowned to meet with any unwanted end...lovely limerick 10

I think the manhole was a bedroom, as it was cold december night they packed each in a hot blanket. Enjoyed this beautiful limerick, it happened with all of us.

And one day their children will ask to have that story told again and again! Thank you for the big smile.
