Lovely poem with so many gifted poets vying for the spot light enjoyed by 'The zealous poet'. Of late, I have also been doing that. I am glad that I get a sound sleep after this arduous exercise. Thanks for sharing the poem, Valsa ji.

Great humour, Valsa! I can relate to this. You could be talking about me....as what you describe is almost always the first day of any attempt of mine to write anything. Great work, Valsa.

A sad predicament for many poets. Valsa, i too belong to this category! The light is only for a very few blessed ones. We may write verse after verse, but of what avail? A Limerick that spells the bitter truth.

Perfectly penned about the woes of a poet. And the picture is a perfect illustration. I can totally relate to the screwed up pages...nowadays more deleting screeds of work from the laptop.

Struggle of a poet is far captured in vision to express in way of fun in this beautiful Limerick. This happens sometimes a poet becomes zealous and thinks more to sit and write poems whole night. This is sad definitely if his poems do not get light and readers do not accept these. A cleverly penned poem is shared through expression of humor....10

It is true that a poet or poetess writes poems when fancy tickles, this happens to the poet here. He efforts whole night to write though none of his poems found light! . Very beautiful limerick on struggle. Thanks for sharing.
