plight of most poets -their work never sees light! Nice limerick!
A very true satire on poets who write so many poemslike me but fail to write a good poem
Lovely poem with so many gifted poets vying for the spot light enjoyed by 'The zealous poet'. Of late, I have also been doing that. I am glad that I get a sound sleep after this arduous exercise. Thanks for sharing the poem, Valsa ji.
Great humour, Valsa! I can relate to this. You could be talking about me....as what you describe is almost always the first day of any attempt of mine to write anything. Great work, Valsa.
A poet's life summed up in a humorous n light-hearted vein. A 10
A sad predicament for many poets. Valsa, i too belong to this category! The light is only for a very few blessed ones. We may write verse after verse, but of what avail? A Limerick that spells the bitter truth.
Perfectly penned about the woes of a poet. And the picture is a perfect illustration. I can totally relate to the screwed up pages...nowadays more deleting screeds of work from the laptop.
Struggle of a poet is far captured in vision to express in way of fun in this beautiful Limerick. This happens sometimes a poet becomes zealous and thinks more to sit and write poems whole night. This is sad definitely if his poems do not get light and readers do not accept these. A cleverly penned poem is shared through expression of humor....10
Where did you get that picture of me? Trying to write some crappy poetry Nothing I write will rhyme Forget about sublime In poetry I'm a catastrophe Thanks for the fun Valsa.
Ha.... ha! Who said you write crappy poetry? Oh.... never! ! Thank you for your poetic response...Loke! In poetry, you're never a misfit You make us happy with your ready wit You are quick to retort Which is your great forte Through your verse, great cheer you transmit!
a poem of the predicament of all poets that is to be one day read? ...............nicely penned Valsa.
Oh, the injustice of it! Oh, this mockery of our fondest dream. I have the time and space to write my best poems RIGHT NOW But where our you blessed inspiration. when you should be perched on the highest branches of my imagination-tree?
It is true that a poet or poetess writes poems when fancy tickles, this happens to the poet here. He efforts whole night to write though none of his poems found light! . Very beautiful limerick on struggle. Thanks for sharing.

I had to come back to this one, brings me hope knowing that I am not alone. Thanks Valsa.
