(limerick)our Fledglingdaughter Poem by WES Vogler

(limerick)our Fledglingdaughter

Rating: 5.0

We allowed our young daughter to paint
Her own room with no form of restraint
Imagine if you can
The over-all plan
She was braced for a clamorous complaint

A Jonathan Livingston Seagull decor
With clouds and seas and a shore
The many angled ceiling
Wondrously revealing
His freedoms as never before

And the bird himself took center stage
Just the last thing on earth you would cage
Janice just gave a shrug
We gave her a hug
'Twould seem talent's not hindered by age.

Years ago, I bought 8-10 quarts of discounted paint and let my kids paint the basement walls. I was happy with the creative results.
