With a chance to improve my old score
I indulged in the great game once more
but two draws and a loss
and those thoughts I can toss
for again I am back on my floor!
Both Hank and I are in this picture, and I can identify at least four other players. This is not our most recent tournament, but one that was played a couple of years ago.
A limerick describing what actually happened is more credible than one penned out of reference. And there is a nice pun on floor, (something like handicap in golf?) . I liked reading it.
here is my message response to your recent poem comment (thanks) , and I'd send as a private message, but PH says you won't allow it! : Kim Barney: Left Out! ! ! Old Kim Barney was, in my " Standing.." poem, left out, but NOW I've received his check so I'll gladly shout... " Kim is NOT a really bad poet. In fact he's pretty good. Next time, Kim, send check by Express Mail! You SHOULD! ! btw your poem ain't bad; to MyPoemList bri :)

my time was wasted at five pins my highest score was 433 The eleventh strike left the two pin which I smashed fiendishly on the last ball I did get a ring for high score that year which I gave to my sweetheart (future wife) and she lost it while boating
Kim, Great Limerick and great picture. Picture has us engaged in chess action, but, on different boards. I rate a " 10" and have added it to My Poem List.
Thanks for the comment, Hank. The comment is worth more to me than the 10 rating, but thanks for both.
