valsa, on this theme but in a more humorous vein, if you haven't read my recent " my seventy-one-year-old self in a mirror, " you might enjoy it. -glen
I am drawn to this limerick probably because of its serious and heart-felt tone. This one goes on my fav list with a great big 10++++++
beautiful Limerick shared on old age death arrests the shining age time brings such a worried phrase none can stop chained fate's job have to leave keeping heir in maze
You are younger to PP ME but your limericks are like ice cream for me who can ever beat you poetess composing limericks limitless
A poignant write that depicts brilliantly and vividly the effects of old age; physically and emotionally. However, blessed are those who have reached old age for they have given more time to spend with their beloved family and to enjoy the wonders of existence. A beautiful poem on life so wonderfully crafted and conveyed in a unique limerick.10++
A sad reality of life that is articulated well in this piece. The rhythm in this one particular was more conspicuous and explicit compared to the others, at least in my perception. The effete tone, sans exuberance, pairs finely with the theme. This is structured with finesse as posited by your previous poesy
The symbol of old age is well expressed. The graphic juxtaposed herewith says much about it. Nice work.
Although this limerick is a sad reflection on old age, it's a refreshing change from the ordinary limerick. Masterfully executed, Valsa! Bravo!
Poignant poem and painful too, to think of the 'old age's fast decline', physical as well as mental. 'Unlike ordinary limericks, this is a serious one.' - Yes, and the deviation is deftly done, to make it more attractive than what you have called the ordiary ones. A nice limerick,10/10 from me.
Ageing gracefully showers immense sweetness and brightness to the wrinkled face too and make the old people adorable. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
An amazing Limerick dear madam...I love these kinds of poems....10
You have arrested it so well in Limerick form.
