his experiment failed, but he wanted to keep a brave face. But he was immortalized in a limerick. Lovely.
Yummy limerick. Best the way to smile when he can neither tell nor keep to himself. Loved your pen Valsa.
How to hide a mistake....plaster it with a bright smile and overact...beautiful limerick...10++ Thank you very much Valsa for all your visits and comments..God bless you
He said Yummy when he meant Yucky, and he has mastered the smile that is plastered! So true to life. I remember doing similar things as a youngster. Thanks for posting this, Valsa!
Magnificent, Valsa. There is a great insight into human psychology here. This reminds me of the mindset that refuses to acknowledge a bad decision. The boy knows he made a bad move. Everybody knows he did....but he just doesn't want to admit to the obvious...c'est la vie. Perfectly done, Valsa. A 10.
I am such a boy who often performs such nonsense if I cook, mostly my wife remains annoyed of me, but when I succeed in cooking a wonderful dish she says my mother often made this dish long long ago. The lady is no more and the dish she has been cooking, I shall cook one day. Alas! My wife would not be there to rightly say that her mother made it long long ago.
hahahahahahahahahaha- -I remember how as a child I would not admit I had made a bad choice but soldier on like I was happy with the result. This is such a reality-based limerick and that makes it the best kind of limerick! ! ! 10++++++++
I too have done the same as a child! Childhood is a time of wild experimentation! Thanks for your jovial response to my limerick.... Susan!
:) Wow! ... this is greatly done! I am reminded of a video with children first trying lemons! Lovely, lovely!
I too have seen that video.....! How a child's face contorts when it tastes a lemon! Thank you Mihaela!
'Yummy! He said with a smile plastered! ' - Ha ha ha, loved this humorous limerick! Very humorous indeed, humor augmented by the 'Poet's Notes'. A perfect limerick, following its grammar in toto.
Typo: Full marks! My key board is not functioning well these days!
A brilliant limerick! Enjoyed the humor......his face with a smile plastered! Thanks for sharing! Full mark*****
