He said Yummy when he meant Yucky, and he has mastered the smile that is plastered! So true to life. I remember doing similar things as a youngster. Thanks for posting this, Valsa!

Magnificent, Valsa. There is a great insight into human psychology here. This reminds me of the mindset that refuses to acknowledge a bad decision. The boy knows he made a bad move. Everybody knows he did....but he just doesn't want to admit to the obvious...c'est la vie. Perfectly done, Valsa. A 10.

I am such a boy who often performs such nonsense if I cook, mostly my wife remains annoyed of me, but when I succeed in cooking a wonderful dish she says my mother often made this dish long long ago. The lady is no more and the dish she has been cooking, I shall cook one day. Alas! My wife would not be there to rightly say that her mother made it long long ago.

hahahahahahahahahaha- -I remember how as a child I would not admit I had made a bad choice but soldier on like I was happy with the result. This is such a reality-based limerick and that makes it the best kind of limerick! ! ! 10++++++++

'Yummy! He said with a smile plastered! ' - Ha ha ha, loved this humorous limerick! Very humorous indeed, humor augmented by the 'Poet's Notes'. A perfect limerick, following its grammar in toto.
