Carrying someone in thoughts brings a sleep That is so much peaceful and deep It may be my frustration But I live in imagination And one that doesn't exist I keep.

Wow.....! If it is like a sleeping pill, have it and sleep sound! As far as you keep it a secret In the inmost shrine of your heart It is a pleasure But can be a pressure If it would once hit you like a bullet!

This guy must be in great mental pain Falling for a dame he can't attain He'll have to look elsewhere If he wants an affair Or else he will be going insane Thanks Valsa for the fun

Such a clever limerick Valsa that leaves me with a touch of melancholy I could imagine his burden... to be fatally struck so with cupids arrow. The secret is only safe in his thoughts for now.

Very creative. The title says a lot. That's a dilemma many men face in life. A 10.

valsa, perhaps interesting to you, this one makes my thoughts turn serious. observing myself and others, attractions happen even if we are committed to monogamy and content in our relationships. and what to do with them? too often hollywood portrays as romantic the falling for the one attracted to and the leaving of the longtime partner. it struck me years ago, and this is particularly true when there are children, that divorce is like the ground opening up when there's an earthquake. and even without children, the pain in separation, in the betrayal, is huge. there are other ways. it begins with watching what we allow ourselves to hold in our minds. a proverb says, above all things guard your heart for that's where life starts. hope you don't mind this serious turn. there's so much wreckage... glen

To cherish one's dame secretly is crime sure though she is charming or disarming. Keep her in thought is not offensive but intangible burden that keeps time wastage. Hope it willl bring conscience to readers. Thanks for sharing.

A great Limerick, Valsa. I also suspect a great truth. There may be many invisible, silent, intangible burdens carried by those who may never acknowledge them. A perfect 10.
