Limerick - Elephant And His Pant. Poem by M. Asim Nehal

Limerick - Elephant And His Pant.

Rating: 4.8

An elephant donned pants so bright,
he danced with delight, oh what a sight!
but with each mighty twirl,
the fabric did swirl,
'Til it tore with a comedic fright!

What a comic delight1 An elephant dancing, with such might and gusto, that the fabric was not able to hold up, must have been quite a sight! Best laugh, today! Enjoyed this poem p

Yes! (thank you, Google) But the dancing elephants seem to be wearing ONLY slippers (ballet slippers, which reminds me of Geeta Menon) . : ) bri

The image which comes to my mind is an elephant is a Walt Disney cartoon, maybe in the lengthy animated Fantasia? ? ?

I like the poem. *** but I think of LOOSE clothing swirling, not tight clothing. And loose clothing would tend to be LESS likely to tear than tight clothing.

Asim, I've rarely heard 'pant' used for pants. To me 'pant' is a verb, something a dog may do. I HAVE heard of 'pant leg' to refer to the left or right pant leg of a pair of pants. It's confusing at times I guess. ;)
