Limerick: Betting On The Horses

My Uncle Bill bets on the horses.
He has some impeccable sources.
But when one that is fast
Somehow comes in last,
He wonders just what his next course is.

Kim, i enjoyed this a lot; Horse races can be like that...sometimes you just stand their and scratch your head and wonder about those not so impeccable sources...We used to watch the ponies race occasionally in Seattle long ago at a track, no longer there - called Long Acres. Must admit, i did not listen to anyone - mostly played my gut - and i would win...confounding my poor husband as to how do you do that? . But what really ticked him off was me winning the Trifecta....Yep, i was on the mark with all three - win, place and show! Gone on enough about me - again i loved this, Kim. More limericks, please!
