(limerick) Applause Applause

Rating: 5.0

A lone man applauded my speech (a break)
Somebody likes me for heaven sake
Then to my dismay
I heard someone say
"He was slapping his head to stay awake."

Well, the joke kept me awake. Very funny. My sympathies are with you.I used to hate giving speeches. All that dreadful snoring. It really gets to you on the end.

Occasionally I need to do more absurd things to stay awake. Go to bed Wes. That's where I'm heading.
