"Shouldn't we observe our jubilee", asked Bri
"Shall we go out and have a turkey fry"?
In words as sharp as a knife,

Enjoyed this immensely! ! ! Thank you for giving me a giggle today! ! ! ! Smoothly done!
I don't know how I missed this one earlier....a great laugh is always the ideal way to start a perfect day. Most excellent, Valsa!
Ha ha ha! That's a real good one, Valsa! A for tat! A fabulous Limerick! A photo so apt! .....10
if that's my wife in above photo, i'd grab her finger, twist it good, put it and others in her mouth, and spank her as a husband should! I guess i've taught Valsa all i know, about limericks and how to be funny, and now, in her limericks it does show: she's a star to admire, with many fans in tow. to MyPoemList bri :)
To Bri A husband's duty is not to spank Some do it when they're drunk Or when their head is blank They belong to an inferior rank! Fascinated by your humour and wit I badly longed for that gift I thought limericks would click Now they give me a real kick Of course you were my master Now limerick has become my anchor
dear Valsa, i've stumbled on this today while in N. Carolina library. how nice. i mean what you wrote above and below. however, things must be confused in India! ! ! ! of course a husband's job IS to spank his wife, whether she's been good or bad! ! ! and sometimes, if i see a husband here NOT spanking his wife, i do it for him! yes, i'm a helpful guy. bri :)
A very clever and properly executed limerick. Great rhyming throughout this humorous and entertaining write. The many intricacies of married life is so well depicted in this poem and the picture that goes with it.10+++++
A wedding celebration gives us happiness only in the beginning years after the wedding...later on all controversies and misunderstanding somehow arise and it is not happy as much as earlier...very often we argue and quarrel loudly...your limerick says it correctly in the limerick way....very amusing....10 ++
Sometimes Bri gives amazing comments. Giving reply to a comment is too interesting. Composing a Limerick gives fun to composer as well as the readers. We shall remain here but we should not cry! Instead of crying many will try and try to get success. What an amazing and fun giving poem this is really! ...10
Kumarmani Ji has rightly pointed out.. 'We shall remain here and cry', My friend Bernard enjoys the fun but I would like to see how Bri takes this....a wonderful Limerick....I enjoyed it a lot!
I absolutely agree with esteemed poet Kumarmani ji...Thanks for sharing.....10++++++++++++++++++
Ha ha ha, loved Mrs. Bri's reaction in the poem and Mr. Bri's appreciation of the poem in the comments!
