Next Door Life I think it was his neighbor’s wife Who took advantage of a conjugal strife, Guilty man becomes a mouse, Before the cat of house, Neighbors can change her next door life.
Problems common with married couples. With some men acting in the same way. Thanks for sharing.
That's a very true picture. Often the supposedly macho man is a kitten at home. His might only works outside home. In front of his wife, he is a weakling. From a woman's point of view, this picture is quite satisfying. Enjoyed thoroughly. A sure 10.
The common saying I often heard - tiger outside and and kitten inside. You brought it out beautifully in Limerick 81.
Insightful Limerick, the powerful man in reality is in awe of his wife and is afraid of her might (her tongue!) this is a gem!
...One saw him as a man of might! an amusing limerick indeed. expecting more such lighter moment poems.thanks for sharing.
Although in our communities men seem to have the upper hand, in reality women keep the first role in families. It happens mostly in conservative countries where the ethical status of women are under stric rules. The stric these rules pay their price to women called to obey them.Henceforth comes, strainge though, the power of the women.Menacing -without declaring it -not to obey, they play the role of the tiger, to which men succumb. My grandmother, born in 1873[+1976] was the real ruler of the house. And we enjoyed it so much.
Mitti ke sher..... Most men don't have the guts to face the tough circumstances of life. It's a woman who comes forward with solutions and gives strength to her man. Yet she is deprived of all the credits. Hypocrisy at it's peak unfortunately. Just loved this limerick, you hit it at the right spot where it hurts the most, their big bloated ego. lolz 10+++++
Most men of might, are often like that............. Great write! X
Haha.. Poor guy.. Thankfully I am yet unmarried, although my girlfriend does give me similar feelings! ! Thank you for sharing Valsa ma'am..
Though the man was might yet he was afraid of his wife. This theme is so nicely painted in this Limerick with fun. Beautiful work.
