Some people have this feeling especially when they hate going to hospitals and taking medicines always. Some medicines have other effects on the body that are foreign to what they are really intended. However, treatment and prevention are better than be sorry later. A wonderful limerick with a meaningful message. Cleverly written.

Vexation on medication is well depicted in the read with diction mam. Opinions may vary from person to person and condition too. Yet life is beautiful.

On 1st April,2008 I survived of a heart attack and in the words of my daughter-in-law I made every one a 1st April Fool, Since then medicines have become a part of my life and I am tired now. Great poem.

When life is caught in the never ending cycle of pain and medicine, every man tends to become something of Mr. Brett. So it is important that all of us lead a healthy life with proper diet and exercise. Enjoyed it.

Poor Brett....I feel pity for his thoughts. He preferred to be deceased, may be he is unable to convince self that he can be cured with medicines. Interesting write presented in a humorous way. Though this happens many times. Loved reading it.

Well done Valsa, you've found such an entertaining way to cover this topic. Finding the right balance of treatment against preservation of dignity is never easy. Elderly patients should be allowed to voice their concerns about hospital care - over-investigation, impersonal environment, risk of hospital acquired infections, unfamiliar surroundings increasing confusion and risk of falls, frequency of longterm admissions and transfer to care homes rather than going back home, and so on. Of course it is the doctor's job to champion the patient's cause when they feel there is a clear need for hospital treatment, and help to reassure concerns about the above.10/10 and of course it has to be a favourite.
