It should be translated:

At least let me pave.. your retreating path.
should be translated: At least let me shoot with last tenderness your outgoing step.
('shoot' is like to shoot with a pistol)
It's sounds strange even in Russian, but Vladimir Mayakovsky wrote it quite so.
