I'll rave, wild, lashed by despair. It should be translated: I'll run out, throw my body into the street. I'll wild, mad, lashed by despair. At least let me pave.. your retreating path. should be translated: At least let me shoot with last tenderness your outgoing step. ('shoot' is like to shoot with a pistol) It's sounds strange even in Russian, but Vladimir Mayakovsky wrote it quite so. This is not the same meaning that presented here, I think ;)
