Like Our Trekking; Rocky, Rough Poem by james watkin

Like Our Trekking; Rocky, Rough

Like our trekking; rocky, rough
And storm-struck; to rue.
Life's challeging landscapes, mutual up-helped
Mutual humoured through.

There, on whose slopes we, for sense
Of real achievement
Are to repose; dying's peace-dawned hour.
Soul's; magnificent.

In which place of trial, shared for
Compassioned learning
Spared which peak's glory-goal, warms not, is climb's
Stomped, stepped o'er earning.
