Like A Hitchhiker On The Road.... Poem by Sheeya Hacks

Life on Earth is like a journey,
a journey of twists and turns.
sometimes we walk, sometimes we run,
but often we just yearn,
we yearn for a helping hand,
to guide us on our way.
for we cannot do it all alone,
not a single day.

Just like a hitchhiker on the road,
we need a ride to move on.
someone to take us to our destination,
before the darkness of dusk is gone,
and in this journey of life,
we come across many souls.
some stay for a while, some forever,
but each one plays a role.

They lift us up when we fall,
and catch us when we stumble.
they remind us to keep going,
when all we want to do is crumble,
for we are all just hitchhikers,
on this vast road of life.
and we need each other's help,
to make it through the strife.
