Lights Go Out Poem by Jesse Bauer

Lights Go Out

This hole in me, I cannot see. When all the lights go out.
And thanks to you, my heart's in two. In darkness, will we shout?

Something's missing, I can tell. There's a gap inside my heart.
A gaping hole where you once laid. Back before the start.

I love you so, but not you to me. This happy face has died.
The good has gone and you're the one who will surely know I lied.

I denied that I love you, I'd risen above you! My heart bled for you like a spout. Now there's nothing left of me, and all the lights go out.
