Lighting Poem by Adookorn Auaduma

Lighting

quicksilver knife
shred the sky
dance

conga to the north
samba to the south

murmur and mull
flash
flaunt

echo to the east
whisper to the west

wigwag
two-edge matchete

etch stretch mark
on body of the sky
smile
laugh

give its bicep a flex in the tree
plot
tattoo
on body of the sky

run helter-skelter
bleep
clap

combing for moon
searching for sun

beat drums of fright
collide with air

crack
crank
rumble and strike
return to its sheath!
