Light-Filled Land Poem by Richard (Narad) Eggenberger

Light-Filled Land

Light-Filled Land

I took the reins of the morning sun
And rode upon its silver rays
My time on earth was not yet done,
Before me lay a thousand ways
And dreams I had not dreamed before
Of love the gift and joy new-found,
When through the spirit's open door
I saw a vision and heard a sound
Of anklet bells in a distant clime.
A child of God came near to me
In a place where no one measured time,
It seemed a gold eternity.
I recognized my being there,
No longer aged, no longer worn
But young among the young and fair,
In that light-filled land again reborn.
