Lightening The Load Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Lightening The Load

Rating: 4.8

I want to lighten the load
That's on my shoulders
It's getting more than I can carry
I don't want to be brought to my knees
It's a struggle to get back up from there
When you're feeling weak
Need to release all these thoughts
That are weighing me down

May you be free of the weight of this world. The mighty pen releases a lot of weight.

A good poet who knows how to take a universal emotion and put words to it to lighten the load of feeling alone in it.
