Light in My Darkness
My hope seems a flickering light,
Fought by the winds of desperation—
Trying to snuff the glow ahead
That should guide me through life's trials.
But you came to me at the right time,
A gentle flame in the coldest night,
Breathing courage into my weary soul
And piecing together my shattered dreams.
You became the light of my way—
Helping me see the beauty once more,
To treasure the bounties of this world
And marvel at its silent wonders.
Yes… you even carry my burdens,
Making them lighter with every step.
You are the friend I hold dear—
Bringing joy that lasts till morning breaks.
