Beautifully Beautifully moving heart and soul! .. With Roberta Flack, candle light, gray and gloomy skies, you paint the mood! ..
Most beautiful poem, amazingly conveyed, dear Susan, my poet friend in the USA. Thank you so much for the enjoyment this mesmerizing poem has given to me.
My comment comes now in pieces, hihi, but I never give up! To my favourites and I have enjoyed line after line, word after word. I love your poems, Susan!
I THOUGHT this loveliest poem you created is The Member Poem Of The Day, since it is so finest to the ears, I hope that will be a POD one day, 5 Stars for you, dear Susan
I WAS giving your magnificent poem a comment, BUT all of a sudden that disappeared. Once again I tried, but your poem was not in sight anymore, and I already know the new PH how to use that, but those 'surprising' moments by PH, how I dislike that!
Just like the song, your poem takes me into a special place in my mind and heart. Absolutely stunning!
The mystic behind this wonderful poem takes back to glorious moments to relive and cherish. The known face reappearing and resurfacing under candlelight is a true flasback. Nothing less than 5**
Oh! That brief comment packed a lot of welcome critique! ! ! Thank you so very much for a well-directed exam of its mechanics!
oh, dear, I; ve tapped on your name 3 times and PH won't take me to your wall--I hoped you were a member--I shall try again
Magnificent, Susan. I see a break up, the lonliness and isolation that follow, and then the resulting wishful thinking. Such an amazing verse. A perfect 10.
well PH flipped my reply into the ozone where it will find plenty of its brothers and sisters
because I don't have time or patience with this advertising technique
did it again---one more comment flipped into ozopne layer to join its brothers and sisters
i tied for a short story in verse form but perhaps this is more a sketch?
I wanted to reply last night but my eye bothered me so bad I gave up.
But I figured a way to get back to my poem to respond tonight! As you see from poem, I be good at wishful thinking! ! ! Thank you for your encouraging words, my friend. Feeling pretty marginalized by PH these days but I still have my good friends here!
Beautiful piece Susan, very deep...I sense the poet's loneliness and despair, I feel a strong connection with this poem 10/10
Thank you for this cpmment---it means I have accomplished my mission to hear that a reader feels a strong connection to its words! ! thank you, thank you, thank you for the top rating!
Thank you Mr. Yeps! I hope you have a storage room of candles then! ! ! !
thank you very much for your kind comment---put a smile on my face!
"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". lifting you to a trance. So enchanting poem, Susie. All the five stars, and a trillion more! Onto MyPoemList
Yes! ! ! ! ! ! An accolade from you is so encouraging, my friend! ! ! And thank you for the 5 star rating! ! ! What would PH do without you? ? ? Flounder.
Part 2. The all pervasive effect of music on human life is wonderfully and picturesquely depicted. Nothing more to be said when you mention Roberta Flak and her "The First Time Ever I Sat
Wasn't it just the perfect marriage between voice and lyric? ? ? ! ! ! Again thank you for your helpful comments
Wow! What a poem, Susie. Such gems make our time on PoemHunter worth the while. "I listen to her over and over again/ lost in the memories of silk and satin "". More than reason to light a candle, once again, and wait. Wait... Wonderful! ! From the picture of gloomy evening
Thank you so much for your in-depth look into my poetry--you always stir me to strive harder, to delve deeper, I cannot thank you enough for your kindnesses!
This is a great poem like your top ones. I don't know why my heart prompts me not to read and write! However, I thought of reading reading some good poems like this one in my spare time.
The concept of ghosts portrayed in this poem makes it wonderfully wonderful
