Enjoyed this one, it reminded me of one of mine called “Forgotten Old Cabin”. I know you will see what I mean. I wrote mine after visiting an old cabin in a cow field in Maryland. When I mentioned to my children that families had happened in this home, my daughter said, “We gave it a family again”. And so the poem was born. It was later published in the Post of Frederick. The people who had the contract to move that cabin and restore it in an historic location sent me acknowledgement. Enjoy. Adeline

In your last hour i was there, i saw the rooms and landings bare i looked at where your pictures hung, patches since time begun! i felt the emptiness when you closed the door, the echo you will hear no more! the smells, the rusty garden gate, is the last thing you will relate we have to move on Bonny lass

A most beutifully depicting & effulgent rendering on moving from a cherished stead that will, no doubt provide a plentitude of endearing memories & that will sparkle in your minds-eyes forever....Very Nicely Done, Bonnie! ~ FjR ~ _2008_
