Lifesaver Poem by Smoky Hoss

Lifesaver

The wild world
like the violence of a storm
tries to drown you
upon a terrible-tossing sea.
It would have your heart sink,
and fill the lungs of your love
with the dirty water of despair.
- Do not give in.
Upon the wave of hope
I sail to you,
throwing out a line
attached to the lifesaver
called love.
Cling to it for dear life;
by it I will pull you in, to safety,
and life.
- Trust me.
This lifesaver will never let you down,
for it is ever connected
to my heart.
Together, we shall survive.
We will live, will love.
Always.
Love is the lifesaver,
always within reach
upon the stormy sea of life.
Take hold - Never let go.

The beauty of this poem truly speaks to the heart, Smoky. It holds a truth that should be told.
