Life's Questions Poem by vicki christison

Life's Questions

When did this happen?
When did they change?
All of life's questions
Nothing's the same.

One day you're young
Happy and carefree
All of life's questions
Are of how things will be.

Where did the time go?
Can this really be me?
When did life's questions
Turn to questions of mortality?

Today is my birthday
My 59th to be exact
And all I can think
Is this could be my last.

That's when it hit me
The depression so strong.
It could be the last
And I spent it alone.
