Great question and beautifully posed. I've always admired both characters in the poem; trees and butterflies. Trees for their straightforwardness and seeming stoicism, their longevity and durability. Butterflies for their innate beauty, incredible persistent and vast migration on such small wings, their element of transformation, and their accompaniment of flower gardens and other things of beauty. I don't know as if I could pick one over the other. Great write
