The graphic description reminds me of a familiar sight on Mumbai roads. Beautifully penned.

A touching expression has been made on poverty. I want to quote some lines here.... Your empty hands and sunken cheeks Tell a story of star-crossed fate Your garment dirty and crumpled Shows your parent's sorry state Beautiful poem nicely executed and amazingly shared.10

Even in the most prosperous nations it is not uncommon to see this little boy. I've seen this unfortunate cycle broken in my family. Hopefully many can find a helping hand and get off this road. Very well written. Thank you Ruta.

Do not stand there little boy With empty hands without a toy Wind playing with your tousled hair Black turned brown without oil Heavy vehicles pass the road With lots of ego and heavy load Be careful while crossing it They don't care for you a bit - - - - - - - A poignant poem with touching description about a world apathetic to the plight of street children.

However, i see a victorious boy standing there who is so intelligent, capable and daring to tackle all situations all alone without caring heavy/light vehicles! His fight is for a cause....for the sake of million people who are deprived of their rights! Though this poetess expresses sympathy towards the poor boy but it seems a bit off color! (10)
