Life On An Open Canvas Poem by Christopher Cariad

Life On An Open Canvas

The Swirling colors in your mind
Paints a picture in my eyes.
Some with joy, others with pain
These pictures say all that there is.
Painting your life on an open canvas,
Colors portray the life you've lead.
Some dark and weary
Yet a few that are bright and exciting.
Colors have helped you fail and succeed
On this path of light and darkness.
Setting you free,
From the script that's been followed.
Entertaining these other beings
Has now shown the color of life,
In a better light.
Taking control of this paintbrush
And the artwork that you've been making.
This picture of the life you own
Now resembles a beauty that was worth creating.
