Life Of Hard Knocks Poem by Ray Hansell

Life Of Hard Knocks

As I walk down life's road
I, like anyone have regrets
There are so many things in life
That I'd like to forget

Those times when things went wrong
As they sometimes will
All the mistakes that I made
Especially the one's that haunt me still

Not every road walked was smooth
Some were filled with pot holes and bumps
But just like everyone else
In life I took my lumps

I never did complain
I thought, what's the use
Because when people hear you
They think you're just making an excuse

So as you travel down life's road
You should always remember
That in this life of hard knocks
Everyone one of us is a member
