What you feel
What you think
i know that i don't know...
What you like
What you dislike...
i confess that i can't guess...
Yet i find
your stony heart
is rocky hard
To fairies' hymns
And mermaids' songs;
chirping birds;
To gardens' charms and smiling buds;
but i know
this life is tough
And full of pains n spiky thorns...
so close your eyes
And do realize
To make this life:
soft and rosy,
sweet and cozy,,
you should change
your frame of mind,
And be at once
So nice and kind...! ! !
Layered well. We do not know what are peers are feeling or thinking, we can only share our joys and positive outlook and try to open eyes. Well written with a lasting message.
I liked the use of short lines, beautiful. the ending lines are my fav. : To make this life: soft and rosy, sweet and cozy, , you should change your frame of mind, And be at once So nice and kind...! ! ! the poem also gives a memorable message.
beautiful lines.....To make this life: soft and rosy, sweet and cozy, , you should change your frame of mind, And be at once So nice and kind....very practical indeed.
Life, I confess that i can't guess.. Really a great poem)))) 10
Mensitria....everything is the product of mind, what we see is what mind want us to see....10+++
you are right Bri...human wiring is not set on a switch to turn ON and OFF on will...i know...but let me be a li'l unrealistic for a while, what harm is there? : (
There is a big BIG difference between should and could. i think i would need to know more about the one with the stony heart before i could imagine him/her being able to easily change the frame of mind. of course, with a little or a lot of help from others it might be possible. an interesting poem, but i think a bit unrealistic. actually i think a LOT unrealistic! thanks for sharing. now where is that hamlet poem? bri :)
but i know this life is tough And full of pains n spiky thorns... This is reality. But each has a part to play in making life better for ALL.
A life divorced from all finer things is indeed abarren, rocky life! .... great thougts in simple words..... excellent! ! !
