Life Is Luck Poem by Mohammad Yousef

Life Is Luck

By Mohammad A. Yousef

Life is luck, make it,
a dance of chance and choice,
where stepping stones often hide
beneath the surface of the stream.

Some wake to sunny skies,
others to storms that scream,
but regardless of the weather,
we all can plant our seeds.

Take a breath and hold it dear,
for every moment unfolds
like pages in a story,
a twist here, a turn there—
unexpected paths we wander.

Luck is not a marble tossed
by hands unseen and strong,
but a compass in our chests,
calling us forward,
inviting us to play along.

What if we wake up tomorrow,
and shine our light a little brighter?
What if we leap into the unknown,
and count on courage to guide us?
Luck turns to magic when we dare
to reach beyond mere luck.

Mistakes will mark the map,
small scars of lessons learned,
and with every stumble,
we gather strength, resilience,
the armor of the brave.

So let the dice roll,
let them click and clatter,
we are players in this game,
shaping fate with every choice—
friendly bets, risky moves,
the cards in our hands,
our hearts beating loud with hope.

Each sunrise a fresh start,
each word we speak a chance,
life—the unpredictable rhythm,
and we, the dancers on this floor,
waiting for our moment.

So here's to luck—
not something we seek,
but rather something we become.
With every step, we make it,
transforming luck into life,
into moments lived, dreams chased,
writing our own endings,
in a world that bends and folds,
where every breath is a fortune
waiting to be claimed.

So let it be known,
in simplicity and grace,
that life is luck, make it,
our arms wide open, hearts beating strong,
inviting wandering stars
to join this joyful throng.
