By Mohammad A. Yousef
Life is a treasure chest,
Full of hidden gems,
Each day a chance to dig deeper,
To discover what we hold within.
Fortune isn't just coins,
Or a grand house on the hill,
It's laughter with friends,
A shared meal, a warm light,
A hug on a cold morning,
The simple joy of a sunny day.
There's wealth in kindness,
A fortune in the words we speak,
In the smiles we give and receive,
In the time shared,
Among whispered dreams and gentle hopes.
Each moment we breathe,
An opportunity to grow,
To plant seeds of love
In the garden of our hearts,
Water them with actions,
Nurture them with patience.
In struggles, find strength,
In pain, find purpose,
This is how we increase our fortune,
Not with walls built high,
But with bridges woven from trust,
Hands extended, ready to lift.
Every sunset brings the chance
To reflect on the day,
To count not just the losses,
But the lessons learned,
The beauty that slipped through our fingers,
Moments that shine like stars
In the dark of night.
So chase the fortune of today,
With open arms and open hearts,
Gather laughter like colored stones,
Let joy be the river we swim in,
Every choice a step,
Towards the life we wish to build.
Life is fortune, all around us,
Rich yet light, it's in each small thing,
Embrace it, grow it, watch it spread,
Like a fire igniting in the cold,
Filling our lives with warmth and light,
Until every breath echoes,
That life is more than what we see,
It's the love we share,
The stories we create,
And the fortune we choose to increase.
